Browser Login Issue

The issue with Safari not supporting the “.” (dot) after local in the URL when the sever is discovered via Bonjour seems to have been resolved in 10.5.7. This problem first appeared in 10.5.6 when it was reported to Apple. It seems it will be resolved in the next upgrade of OS X.

In recent release of Address Book Server we have moved away from using the Bonjour name. During the discover process the client will attempt to resolve the server fully qualified host name if available otherwise present the servers IP address. Using a static IP address for the server is recommended.
